Welcome to Warrenton: A Guide for New Neighbors
Moving to Warrenton or somewhere nearby in Fauquier County? This page covers the practical part we help new neighbors with: bringing your dental records with you, finding our office on Hospital Drive, and the local offices and services worth bookmarking.
Transferring your dental records
Your records help us pick up where your last dentist left off. Moving them takes a few minutes:
- Ask your previous dentist's office for your records. That means your x-rays, charting and treatment notes. Most offices ask you to sign a records release form first.
- Have them sent to us at the address or email under "Send your records to", or ask for a copy for yourself and bring it along.
- Fill out our Pre-Appointment Form before your first visit and bring your insurance card if you have one.
- Schedule your first visit. What to expect at your first visit is on our New Patients page.
Under HIPAA, you have the right to a copy of your records. An office generally has 30 days to respond and may charge a reasonable fee for copies, so it helps to ask a few weeks before your first visit (ADA News, "What to know about HIPAA right of access").
Finding our office
We are on Hospital Drive, the same road as Fauquier Hospital, right beside the hospital and about a seven-minute walk from its main building. From Old Town Warrenton it is about a five-minute drive.
Coming on Route 29, from Gainesville or from Culpeper, take the Business 29 exit into Warrenton and follow it onto Shirley Avenue. Hospital Drive turns off Shirley Avenue; follow it to our building.
