What to expect at your first visit
A first visit is about getting to know you and your mouth, not rushing into treatment.
Arrival
Come in a few minutes early, say hello at the front desk and let us know if anything has changed since you booked.
Paperwork
If you filled out the Pre-Appointment Form at home, hand it in with your insurance card. If not, we will give you a copy to complete.
Exam
Dr. Harris looks at your teeth, gums, bite and jaw, asks about your history and listens to what brought you in.
X-rays
X-rays when they are needed, so we can see what an exam alone cannot: between the teeth, under old fillings and below the gum line.
Cleaning, when appropriate
Many first visits include a cleaning. If your gums need more attention first, we will explain why and plan it with you.
Treatment discussion
Before you leave you will know what we found, what we recommend and what it involves, with time for your questions.
